Free People
-
When asked to design an inspiration book for the company Free People, I began by making one drawing a day for a month.
I utilized color and pattern to reimagine various places and cultures. I often imagined what it would be like to be in multiple places at one time. I was inspired by Free People's playful use of eclectic textiles.

A Silent Hymn
-
A Silent Hymn is a collaborative book made by Matthew Yake and Hillery Sproatt. It documents the journey and joys of companionship and observations. Both Matthew and I attempted to carefully examine the world around us to find connections and relationships between everyday actions, rituals, and relationships in the hopes that they might reveal a greater unity in the world,a connectedness, something bigger than ourselves. A Silent Hymn is documentation of what we discovered. All the images are drawn from projections of old archived slides that Matthew's grandfather took of his many travels all over the world. Hillery compiled the text from the many conversations that took place during the making of the book.
The book is a hand-bound book, silkscreened, letterpressed, and hand-drawn on gray Rives BFK. It is an edition of 12.
